Entrepreneur Paid Off $100,000 In Debt Her First Year In Business

Last month, I was honored to be able to share my story with Business Insider for an installment of their “Master Your Money” series. As the owner and operator of a small, independent business, I was thrilled at the opportunity to share my story in the hopes of inspiring other small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. Paying off $100,000 in debt that I used to build my business was not an easy task. It took creative planning, organization, budgeting, and building better financial habits to achieve my goals, and I hope that when you see the interview, you will feel inspired to achieve your goals too! If I can do it, so can you!

As a creative, “Right Brained” individual, learning to become a businesswoman was definitely a challenge. Implementing strict budgets, learning to get and stay organized, and developing better personal and business spending habits were not in my nature! I was determined to succeed, and to do that, I had to learn. Not just about one aspect of business, but all aspects of business. Sometimes, reaching my future goals required me to make sacrifices in the present, and that experience helped me to learn to be disciplined in my approach to my personal and business finances. Learning better habits took time and no small amount of effort, but my business is better for it, and so am I !

I am so grateful to Business Insider for allowing me to share my message of hope and perseverance, and I hope that it inspires other entrepreneurs to go out into the world and achieve their dreams. There will be challenges, setbacks, and hardships, but if you dedicate yourself to learning and overcoming the obstacles, you can achieve greatness!
